CRITTERS, WIZARDS, AND DECORATIVE ELEMENTS
Bill has been blacksmithing since 1986. Before that, he was a farrier and began making novelty horseshoes and snakes back in the 1970's. He expanded his creations making more functional items such as dinner bells, tripods, and pot racks which were sold at craft shows. In 1987, he began accepting commissioned work, while continuing his position as Resident Blacksmith with the Old City Park in Dallas, TX.
Bill taught weekend courses to give individuals the basics of blacksmithing. His many years of experience as a machinist and tool & die maker during a hitch in the Navy have contributed to his overall knowledge of types of steel and his ability to make any tool he needs to do the job. His art for decorators and builders can be seen in some of the finest homes in Dallas.
At Quadstate this year, Bill focused on critters, wizards, and quick projects that you can make and sell at art shows and demonstrations.
